Summary

Summary:

Responsible for facilitating of behavioral health integration within outpatient clinics. Collaborates with leadership regarding the operational program for providing integrated behavioral and mental health services in outpatient clinics.  Also responsible for providing direct health care services as a Licensed Psychologist.  Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

Education/Experience/Licensure

Required

 PhD or PsyD in Psychology

Must have at least two years' experience as a licensed mental health provider and supervisor

Must be licensed in the State of TN

Must obtain Health Service Provider (HSP) designation in the State of TN prior to hire date

Preferred Experience in organizational and clinical integration of behavioral health in a primary care setting

  • Knowledge of community services in area of expertise.
  • Ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students in areas of expertise.
  • Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of behavioral health evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications and experience with database systems.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists with management and initial implementation of behavioral health integration with the ambulatory care clinics.
  • Leads/Supervises behavioral health professionals, including training and work schedule of staff members and consultation on complex clinical cases.
  • Provides direct and/or indirect integrated behavioral health care services including the provision of patients’ assessments, brief interventions and consultations within an ambulatory care setting.
  • Collaborates with providers in order to cultivate a culture of integration of services within clinics, including direct teaching and providing informal consultations regarding standards of behavioral health care, applicable empirically-supported treatments, and how to best utilize behavioral health services within the care team.

  • The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
  • Must have good balance and coordination.
  • The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
  • The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
