Summary

Responsible for the administration of the materials management function including the receipt, handling and processing of products, managing the tracking system for inventory purposes. Performs manual duties related to the movement of products and materials. Responsible for collaborating with and supporting assigned leaders by providing solutions regarding all aspects of time and attendance administration. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of basic principles of business management and hospital operation.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate with management and associates.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database systems.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Monitors the units daily to assure adequate inventory of supplies are readily available.
  • Maintains appropriate charging information system for chargeable items and assures that all equipment is in the unit.
  • Maintains MLH Associates time and attendance for assigned unit.

Physical Requirements

  • The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
  • Must have good balance and coordination.
  • The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
  • The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
