Title:  LD RAD Tech Job

Summary

The Lead Rad Technologist is responsible for operating imaging equipment to perform procedures to a specified patient population.  Has oversight of technical staff, technical procedures, patient care, and workflow to ensure safe and effective patient care in a designated section of the department.  Acts as a role model and facilitator working in collaboration with all levels of department personnel.  Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.  The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

REQUIRED:

Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT.

 

 

Minimum of two years of experience as a Rad Tech

 

 

 

 

  • Certification and registration as R.T.(R) ARRT.

 

  • State license inaccordance with regulations in the state where work is performed.

 

  • Effective June 1, 2018: New Hires and Current Associates are required to have BLS  Certification.

  • Demonstrated technical knowledge used to guide/lead others and carry out more complex assignments.

  • Knowledge of the physical and operational characteristics of imaging equipment.

  • Basic knowledge of radiology information systems (RIS, HIS, and PACS preferred).
  • Ability to collect and analyze data.

Physical Requirements

  • The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
  • Must have good balance and coordination.
  • The physical requirements of this position are: medium work - exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently.
  • The Associate is required to have close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision to perform an activity, such as assessing patients, preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
  • Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact.
  • Exposure to patient body fluids as well as exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials.
  • Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
