Summary

Responsible for the implementation and installation of medical and other equipment to include coordinating internal/external labor, contractors, internal/external customers and materials, and supporting the implementation testing and the internal test lab.  Acts as a foreman on all CTS implementations with the responsibility of solving installation issues, controlling costs, adhering to installation timelines/deadlines, and being a productive team member. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

REQUIRED:

Associate’s degree in Electronic Engineering with a course in Anatomy & Physiology with two (2) years of experience in clinical equipment repair, maintenance and installation support.

 

Two (2) years of clinical/biomedical equipment maintenance.

Successful completion of the manufacturer’s equipment training service schools in one of the following:

Patient Monitoring, IT, and/or other Clinical and Non-Clinical Systems. 

 

 

PREFERRED:

Associate’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, military equivalent Biomedical Engineering school or five (5) + years equivalent installation experience.

Two (2) years of proven performance in the support of medical and/or other equipment installations in a healthcare environment.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to understand and prepare complex written materials, such as equipment manuals.
  • Ability to communicate in verbal and written form with all levels of Associates, physicians, and equipment manufacturers and vendors.
  • Ability to work without close supervision and to exercise independent judgment.
  • Ability to organize tasks, set priorities, and maintains control of workflow with excellent time management skills. 

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Prepares for implementation and installation of medical and other equipment
  • Oversees implementation and installation of equipment and supports implementation testing and the internal lab test.
  • Handles billing processes for project when completed.

Physical Requirements

  • The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
  • Must have good balance and coordination.
  • The physical requirements of this position are: heavy work - exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently.
  • The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
  • The Associate may be required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general laborer, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection, etc.).
