Title:  Cardiac Clinical Quality Analyst - University Job

REQUIRED:

High school graduate or equivalent

Minimum of five years of experience in healthcare with strong clinical knowledge of cath lab procedures.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a clinical healthcare field or Health Information Management (HIM) or graduate of an accredited healthcare technical training program accepted for working in invasive cardiac procedures (such as CVT, RT, RRT, RN)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of cardiac diagnoses, treatment, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of CMS guidelines for ICD reimbursement or closely related knowledge of CMS reimbursement guidelines.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and CPT coding guidelines.
  • Ability to foster and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers including, but not limited to leaders and other associates in MLH departments/divisions. 
  • Ability to work effectively and productively without close supervision and to exercise independent judgment in decision making. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to comprehend moderately complex written materials. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to operate standard office equipment (i.e. fax machine, copier, etc).
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to assist in decision-making. 

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Assists in planning, organizing, directing and implementing a means of collecting clinical decision support information for Methodist Healthcare.
  • Interacts with physicians and clinical departments.
  • Performs data collection functions.
  • Performs other job functions as requested.
