The Special Events Coordinator organizes and implements awareness and educational programs created to increase community participation for Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Must be able to function effectively while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups in person, through presentations and in writing.
- Must be diplomatic and enthusiastic advocate for Le Bonheur.
- Must be able to work independently, without supervision.
- Must have flexible schedule to be able to work some nights and weekends and occasionally travel in the region.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Manages and/or assists with special events held for the benefit of Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.
- Works closely with Art sponsors to continue and increase fundraising efforts for Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.
- Develops plans and strategies for cause marketing related programs. Supports fundraising plans and strategies.
- Promotes Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in order to develop community awareness and opportunities.
- Performs other job functions as assigned ore requested.
Physical Requirements
- The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
- Must have good balance and coordination.
- The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
- The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
